Will of Peter Molloy
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 pages 268-269 probate year 1926

In re
      PETER MOLLOY.     DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me, Peter Molloy, of St. John’s, Carpenter.

      I revoke all former wills by me at any time made, and I appoint my daughter Catherine the Executrix of this my will.

      I give and bequeath my freehold property on Long’s Hill, including the dwelling house in which I reside and numbered 61, together with the household furniture and effects therein, to my two daughters Catherine Molloy and Belle Maher in equal shares between them as tenants in common. I also give and bequeath to my said two daughters Catherine & Belle in equal shares between them the money to my credit in the Newfoundland Government Savings Bank or elsewhere.

      I give and bequeath my land on the Thorburn Road to my three sons William, Thomas, and Edward in equal shares between them as tenants in common.

      In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this Ninth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred & Twenty one.

Signed Published and Declared by the Testator as and for his last will and testament in presence of us, both being present at the same time, who at his request and in his presence hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof.

      This is a Codicil to the last will and testament of me Peter Molloy. I give and bequeath the land and house thereon at present occupied by my son William, in the rear of my own house, to my said son William absolutely as I have years before verbally given it to him.
In addition to the land on Thorburn Road given to my sons William Thomas and Edward I give to my said three sons my horse, cart cow, Carriage, Express and harness, to be divided equally between them. I leave my watch to my grandson Edward Maher.

As witness my hand at St. John’s this 9th day of December A.D. 1921.

Signed Published and Declared as a Codicil to the last will and testament of the said Peter Molloy in presence of us, both being present at the same time, who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof, the same having been first read over to the Testator.
