Will of Catherine Molloy
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 pages 56-57 probate year 1901

Last Will and Testament of
Catherine Molloy of St. John's
Widow deceased.

      In the name of God Amen -
I Catherine Molloy of St. John's Widow do hereby make and declare this to be my last will and testament. First. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Molloy all my right title and interest in and to that house No. 158 Gower Street in St. John's aforesaid and now occupied by me.
Secondly. I give devise and bequeath to my son Peter Molloy those two houses situate on the estate of late Right Reverend Doctor Fleming deceased and fronting on Longs Hill.
Thirdly I give devise and bequeath to my executor hereinafter named those other two houses on the said estate of Dr. Fleming and situate in rear of those above mentioned to have and to hold the same in trust for the use and benefit of my son Michael Molloy during his lifetime and to reserve and pay over to him the yearly rents issues and profits thereof. And after the decease of my said son Michael should he die without leaving a widow or child him surviving I give and bequeath the last mentioned houses to my said son Peter Molloy
And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Peter Molloy executor of this my last will and Testament and do declare that it is my intention that as regards the lands in rear of the said houses on Dr. Flemings estate each shall have and carry with it the quantity of land now fenced in as belonging to it and the rent payable to the said estate shall be borne and paid by the said legatees in equal proportions. I do hereby revoke and declare null and void all previous wills by me made. Witness my hand at St. John's aforesaid this third day of April Anno Domini 1875. (Sgd) Catherine her x mark Molloy. Signed by the said Catherine Molloy as and for her last will and Testament in our presence who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses on the day and year above written the same having been first read over and approved of by the said Catherine Molloy (sgd) Robert J. Kent (sgd) John Bates.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Catherine Molloy deceased
