Will of Jonathan Miller from Newfoundland will books volume 2 page 111 probate year 1852

In re
     Jonathan Miller      deceased.

Carless Harbour, May 13th 1851. Jonathan Miller Planter do this day give and bequith to my daughter Ammy Miller my room & house with the gardens likewise looking glass & gold ring, 1 herren net, 4 guns, 2 sails, 100 fathams of rope, boats compas, ½ bag of shot, 1 hatchet, 1 cast net, 2 punt
Jonathan X his mark Miller.
Witness, James Pitcher, James Miller.
My desire is that if I depart this life before the first of November that John Miller is to leave the room between the first & last of November of this date.

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.

We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be.
