      Elizabeth B. Merchant         deceased.

      I Elizabeth Bessie Merchant of Bonne Bay District of St. Barbe, Colony of Newfoundland make this my last will and testament. I give, devise, bequeath, my dwelling house, and all my lands all my real and personal estate including the estate of the late William Merchant all at Hants Harbor District of Trinity Colony aforesaid to my daughter Jessie Helen Garcin her heirs and assigns absolutely forever.    I also further give devise bequeath the sum of Ten Hundred & Eighty Eight 55/100. Dollars with interest now in the Bank of Montreal St. John’s in equal shares to my daughter Jessie Helen Garcin and my son Walter Kenneth Pitcher their heirs and assigns absolutely forever.
I appoint my son in-law Thomas Alexander Garcin Merchant of Bonne Bay District and Colony aforesaid executor of this my will In witness whereof I have signed and Sealed and declared this as my will at Bonne Bay District and Colony aforesaid on Fifth day of March in the year of our Lord nineteen Hundred & Eight (sgd) Elizabeth Merchant (LS) The said Elizabeth Bessie Merchant at said place on said day signed and Sealed this and declared the same as and for her last will in our presence. And we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses    A.J. Moseley M.D.     John E. Roberts
