Will of Robert Mercer, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 366 probate year 1931

IN RE.                         DECEASED
Robert Mercer.

In the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
I, Robert Mercer, of Mercer's Cove, Bay Roberts, Conception Bay Newfoundland, being sound in mind and memory do, on this twenty third day of May in the year of Our Lord, one thousand and eight hundred and ninety, make my last will and testament in manner following. I give to my wife Charlotte Mercer all that I die possessed of, land cleared and uncleared, house and outhouses, horse, sheep & other animals, boats, traps and fishing gear, to be hers, for the use and support of herself and my son and daughters, during the period of her natural life, if she remains unmarried after my decease and at her death or marriage again, I will that the whole of said property house and outhouses, land cleared and uncleared, boats, traps, & other fishing gear, together with horse and cattle, become the property of my son Thomas Mercer, subject to the condition that while any of my daughters remain unmarried they shall have a house in my dwelling house, or any other dwelling house which my said son may build on my said property and also shall receive support, if necessary from the produce of the land. And I appoint Eli Mercer & George Mercer my brothers in law executors of this my last will and testament and charge them to see its provisions faithfully carried into effect.
