Will of Frances McNamara from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 562 probate year 1891 Last will and testament July 14th 1887. The last will and testament of Frances McNamara widow of St. John's Newfoundland I will and bequeath to my daughter in law Mrs. Johannah McNamara my land and house situate on south side corner of Beck's Cove and Theater Hill with the land in the rear and shed also my house and land on Beck's Cove joining the property of the late Michael Power extending in the rear to the late John Furlong's land and also one hundred dollars with its interest to be given one half for masses for the repose of my family and myself the other half to the bishop in the church and eighty dollars to bury me. To my son Joseph McNamara I give 2 houses on Theater Hill joining Daniel Condens about 34 feet and the land in the rear also the house and land on Beck's Cove formerly occupied by the late James Bates and now may the Almighty have mercy on my soul.
