Last will and testament
of William McGrath
of St. John's Blacksmith Deceased
.

I William McGrath of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, Blacksmith being now and heretofore of sound (sound) and disposing mind memory and understanding do hereby publish and declare this paper writing as and for my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills or testaments by me made. - I first order and direct that out of my estate all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Next I will devise and bequeath unto nephew Thomas Joseph McGrath now residing with me all the lands messuages and tenements chattels real and personal goods moneys debts and effects of every kind and description of which I may die possessed or to which I may have legal or equitable right or claim. To have and to hold the said lands messuages and tenements chattels real and personal goods moneys debts and effects above described unto the said Thomas Joseph McGrath and his assigns thenceforth and forever, or for such term or time as I may at my death be entitled to without any hindrance or disturbance of any person or persons claiming by from or under me. I hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Joseph McGrath sole executor of this my last will and testament. Dated at St. John's in the island aforesaid this nineteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety. - William McGrath. Signed published and declared by the above named testator William McGrath as and for his last will and testament in presence of us, who in the presence of each other and in the presence of the said testator William McGrath and at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto Thomas J. Knight James Corcoran.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of his last will and testament of William McGrath.
