Will of Mary McGrath
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 518-519 probate year 1917

In re
      Mary McGrath          deceased.

      In the name of God. Amen. I Mary McGrath of Holyrood Conception Bay Newfoundland (widow of the late John McGrath) do make my last will testament this day of August third one thousand nine hundred.
First I will & bequeat to my grandson James Morrissey a piece or parcel of land at Brien’s stands bound by the railway track on the W. by Kieley’s land on the N. by the main road on the E, and by George Brien’s land on the south.

Second. I will and bequeath to my son John McGrath all my land being between the railway track and the sea shore. It is to my daughter Mary’s after my son’s death. Also my son John is to allow my grandson James Morrissey the use of the after grass for his own interest.
Third. I will & bequeat to my grand daughter Mary Ellen daughter of my son James my bed and trunk.    Last will my spinning wheel between my daughter Mary and daughter-in-law Betsy. My shawl is to my daughter Catherine (?)Currans.    I hereby put my hand and seal first read over and explained Mary McGrath her mark X witness     Michael Rourke    John Rourke.
