In re Joseph McGrath      deceased.

This is the last will and Testament of me Joseph McGrath of Valey Road in the district of Carbonear Fisherman I give devise and bequate all my Real and Personal estate unto my wife Mary McGrath sole executrix of this my will and revoke all Previous wills made by me as long as she holds my name and after her death to be eaquly divided between my five children She is not to sell anney of my Property its not be to sold I declare this writing to be my last will will
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this the 8 day of October 1906 - Joseph McGrath - - Joseph X McGrath - John X Whelan    Thomas X Curran as witness

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.

We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be.
