from the Newfoundland will books volume 12 page 138 probate year 1921

In re CATHERINE MCGRATH.      DECEASED.

My last Will and Testament To my son Michael Francis McGrath I leave the tenement house No. 8. Convent Square which he now occupy also half the land in the rear, if he wish to have it divided at any time To my son Thomas Joseph McGrath I leave the Tenement house No. 6. Convent Square which he now occupy, with half the land in the rear two flats my bedstead and bedding to I leave Kathleen and Nellie the rest of the furniture is for my son Thomas
Dated the 18 day of November 1921 CATHERINE MCGRATH.
Witnesses Henry N. Long    Samuel M. Best    This day Nov 25 1921.

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.

We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be.
