At his death said dwelling house and surroundings shall go to his son Ambrose Foote Matthews, with the proviso that the latters mother, if she survives her husband shall occupy the house with him while she remains a widow.
My meadow on what is known as the “Outside Road” I bequeath to my sons Aaron Grandy Matthews, and William Poole Matthews, the former taking the part marked out and now used by him, the latter the other part.
My meadow on what is known as the “Inside Road” to be divided into four lots of equal size, the eastern lot I give to my daughter Elizabeth Poole; the next to my son William Poole Matthews, the next to my son Aaron Grandy Matthews, the next to my grandson Claude Matthews.
My meadow up the brook I bequeath to my children “Morgan” “Aaron Grandy” “William Poole” and daughter Elizabeth in equal parts.
