Will of Robert Mattheu from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 73 probate year 1886 Last will and Testament of This is the last will and Testament of me Robert Mattheu of Saint John's accountant I devise and bequeath the whole of my estate and property real and personal and of what nature and kind soever to my dear wife Mary Stewart (should she survive me) to hold and enjoy the same for and during her natural life. Upon the death of my said wife or upon my death should my said wife not survive me I desire that the whole of my said estate shall go to my daughter Jessie for her sole separate and absolute use and benefit for ever. And I appoint my said daughter Jessie sole executrix of this my last will. Dated at St. John's this 22nd day of September AD. one thousand eight hundred and eighty three - Robert Mattheu.
