Last will and Testament of
George W. Marshall of St. John’s
Laborer deceased

      This is the last Will and Testament of me George Wm Marshall of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland Laborer. In consideration of a number of years of faithful service rendered to me by my adopted daughter Cynath Marshall Davis of St. John’s aforesaid Spinster I give devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate to which I shall or may be entitled at the time of my decease unto my said adopted daughter Cynath Marshall Davis absolutely And I appoint her the sole Executrix of this my will hereby revoking all former testamentary writings.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my will this fourth day of January Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. (Sgd) Geo Wm Marshall Signed by the above named George Wm Marshall as his last Will in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
