In re GEORGE MARSHALL deceased.
I George Marshall Fisherman Planter of Harbor
Buffett, Dist Placentia & St. Mary’s Nfld, do this day make my last
will and testament being now of sound mind and memory
First- To my grandson George Marshall I give and bequeath all my land property at
the Tickels also the garden meadow between William Tulk’s property & Coffins
Cove with all buildings thereon viz dwelling house two stores and stage wharf & flakes,
also my boat “Eliza Jane” with all her gear & fittings. I also
direct that my son John Marshall shall have full use of all the above property
mentioned while he lives and further if he John deem it best at any time to
sell the said boat “Eliza Jane” he may do so the proceeds of such
sale to go to my grandson George
Second- To my son John Marshall I give
and bequeath all my fishing gear, viz Two caplin seines, seven herring nets,
seven Cod nets, Trawls, punts, dories and other gear.
Third- To my grand daughter
Winifred Marshall I give and bequeath my bed and bedding washstand
and Toilet set and mirror.
Fourth- To my grand daughter Jennie Marshall I give
and bequeath my chest of drawers
Fifth I hereby nominate and appoint
John Collett and James Burton both of Harbor Buffett to be executors of this
my last will & testament
Sixth I give and bequeath to my son
John Marshall the amount of cash deposited in Nfld Govt Savings Bank by me
as pro Bank Book, Viz, deposited Jany 100.00 & Nov. 100.00 1911 Two hundred
dollars ($200.00) with interest due thereon from that date, That the said John
Marshall is to have it changed and transferred to his name at the
Bank and it is to be his money to do as he wishes with.

by the said George Marshall as and for his last will and testament
in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other
have here subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto. Obediah
