Will of Thomas Marsh In re I, Thomas Marsh, of Garnish, in the District of Fortune Bay, Newfoundland, being of a sound mind & understanding do make this my last Will & Testament, as follows. (I) I do give & bequeath to my sons, James, Charles, John, Thomas, Samuel, George: and my daughter Martha: my daughter in law Jessie: the children of my deceased daughter Annie, all monies belonging to me held by the Director’s of James Baird Ltd to be divided among them. The children above mentioned to receive their mother’s part & one ninth of the total amount. And I do order that the Clergyman in charge of the Parish of Burin be authorised to hold this amount in trust for the said grandchildren until the youngest is twenty one years of age. (2) I do also give & bequeath to my grandson Earl Marsh all monies I might have in my own room and about the house at the time of my decease. (3) I do order that my property shall remain as at present distributed. (4) I do further order that all monies held by the Directors of James Baird Ltd remain there for one year after my decease & the interest on same for that year to be devoted to the painting of the Church of St Giles, Garnish. (5) I do appoint the Directors of James Baird Ltd to be my Executors.
