Last Will and Testament of
James Maher of Holyrood
Farmer deceased.

      In the name of God Amen I James Maher of Holyrood farmer, being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament all my previous wills of mine being revoked. 1^st I order my land property to be equally divided in three equal parts. The South West portion of it I bequeath to my grandson William Maher (my son Williams eldest son) The Middle part I bequeath to my daughter Eliza Maher and the North East part I bequeath to my son James Maher. Two cows and a calf I own I order they be sold for masses and any other expenses that may attend me. I order my horse to be sold and the money realized by the sale shall be given to my daughter Eliza Maher. I give and bequeath my box car and dray car & wheels & sleigh to my son William Maher. I give and bequeath my carriage to my son James Maher. I give and bequeath my house to my daughter Eliza Maher and my grandson William Maher (of William) lots to be drawn by them for their choice of either end of the house, but in case my daughter Eliza Maher gets married she forfeits her claim to the house. I give and bequeath to my Grandson William Maher above mentioned my feather bed I also give and bequeath the other beds & bedding and other furniture to my daughter Eliza Maher while she remains single. Should Eliza get married my grandson William Maher (son of William) is to have the house and all the furniture belonging to it. (Sgd) James his x mark Maher (LS) Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of the Testator and in the presence of each other having been first read over to the said Testator.
