Last will and Testament of
Elvina Luscombe of St. John’s
Spinster deceased

      This is the last will and testament of me Elvina Luscombe of ninety George Street, St. John’s Newfoundland. I give and bequeath to my sister Sarah Maria Gaul of 52 High Street, Leven Fife. Scotland, my dwelling house and garden, situate number ninety George Street, St. John’s. I desire that my furniture and other effects be sold after my death. And that the sum of three dollars be given to the Church of England Orphanage, what remains after my funeral expenses and just debts have been paid I give to my sister Sarah Maria Gaul. I appoint Mr. James Moore of 14 Waldegrave Street Executor of this will. (Sgd) Elvina her X mark Luscombe. 22nd February 1899. We the undersigned do declare that Elvina Luscombe signed this document, after it had been read and explained to her, by making her mark in our presence, who thereupon signed our names.
(Sgd) Alfred F. Moore 12 Waldegrave Street.
(Sgd) J. H. Bradford, Clergy House St. John’s.
