Will of Charles Lopes from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 169 probate year 1927 In re This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Lopes of Monroe, Smiths Sound. I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary Expenses be paid and satisfied by my Executrix, hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I give and bequeath to Johanna Lopes my wife my Dwelling House Out houses and land, all my household furniture, Organ, linin wearing apparel, Books, pictures, China. And also all and every sum and sums of money which may be found in my house, or be about my person, or due to me at the time of my decease. And also all my Stocks, and Securities for money. And all and every other item of my Estate and Effects, whatsoever and wheresoever, both real and personal, wheather in possession or reversion, remainder, or expectancy, to and for her own use and benefit, absolutely: Also I give and bequeath my part is half the Saw Mill at Angel water pond to Stephen. Emmanuel and William Holloway for their use and if the ever want to sell to let or give half the Mill their part Edmund Frampton is to have the first chance to buy or have there share. And I nominate, constitute, and appoint, Johanna Lopes my wife to be Executrix of this my Will: And hereby revoking all other wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made. I declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Charles Lopes have to this my last Will and Testament
