Will of William Little
from Newfoundland will books volume 6 pages 288-289 probate year 1896

Last Will and Testament of
William Little of Bonavista
Fisherman deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me William Little of Bonavista Newfoundland Fisherman who being of sound mind and in healt of body do give & bequeath to my son Samuel Little my dwelling house the land on which it stands & Yard also my garden in front of my dwelling house from the westward end of my house strait down to the fence adjoining William Doody meadow & across to my stable all the east part of my garden from the west end of my house. I also give and bequeath to my son Samuel Little half my meadow near birchy Cove Road, the other half goes to my Grandson George Saint. I do give and bequeath to my son Samuel Little one third of my meadow called longshore meadow also a small garden in front of his own house. I do give & bequeath to my son George Little 2/3 of my meadow called longshore meadow also a garden near his own dwelling house called Beachie cove garden adjoining his own property I do give & bequeath to my son George Little a garden near Henry Little dwelling house bounded on East by public road & William Bundle meadow on the west. I do give & bequeath between my two sons George & Samuel Little my fishing room also my work store the land on which it stands also half a stable with a strip of land in south of it. The other half belongs to Mary Little. I also give and bequeath between my two sons George and Samuel Little the west part of my Garden in front of my dwelling house from the west end of my dwelling house across to Mrs Mary Littles meadow. I also give & bequeath to my two sons George & Samuel Little a meadow called the marsh adjoining George Fords property on the west.
I do give and bequeath between my daughter Emma Fisher & my Grandson George Saint my pew in Methodist Church Bonavista. Everything else owned by me William Little left in the house I am now living in goes to my son Samuel Little what ever it may be. I appoint James Shirran the sole executor of this my last will. All other wills made by me are hereby revoked and of no avail. I hereby affix my hand and seal on this the thirtieth day of March Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety two. (Sgd) William his x mark Little (LS) The foregoing will having been first read over and explained to the said William Little and signed by him in their presence who in the presense of each other subscribe their name as witness. (Sgd) Henry Little. (Sgd) Samuel Little. (Sgd) James Shirran.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of William Little deceased
