from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 516-517 probate year 1912

In re
      Rosa Lilly          deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Rosa Lilly wife of George R. Lilly of Trinity Stipendiary Magistrate - I give devise and bequeath unto my eldest daughter Beatrice Eliza Noel the sum of one hundred Dollars absolutely for her own use, my gold watch and chain one Cameo brooch. To my second daughter Edith Rosa Mallam the like sum of one hundred Dollars absolutely, my chain fob and cameo brooch, her Grandmother’s Engagement ring - To my third daughter Clara Alice Behorns the like sum of one hundred Dollars absolutely her Grand mothers locket and chain and blue enamel pearl ring with ruby stone - To my fourth daughter Hilda Flora W. Lilly the like sum of one hundred Dollars my silver locket and chain, brooch with coral ring with Emerald -
To my fourth son Hugh R. Lilly the sum of Fifty Dollars and the Silver sugar basin. To Mary A. Wife of my son Charles A. Lilly of Muscadine, Iowa, the Enamel pendant and chain - To May wife of my son Harold L. M. Lilly my filigree gold brooch - To Alice McRae wife of John McRae a hair bracelet R. Lemessurier - To Mabel LeMessurier my gold brooch with purple stone set in bars - To my son in law William Noel my late Father’s arm or easy chair. Beatrice is to have one of the silver cake baskets and Edith the silver jug. My silverware spoons and forks and the bequests of silverware are to be divided between my children after the decease of my husband who I appoint Executor of this my will. I also devise and bequeath unto Charlotte Anne wife of Ernest Herbert Lilly of Chicago my coral chain and cross. Dated at Trinity this 24th day of September A.D. 1912. - Rosa Lilly - Signed by the said Testatrix in our presence who in her presence and of each other and hereunto affix our names as witnesses C. W. Hollands Trinity    John Ryan.
