Will of William Lampen, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 278 probate year 1930

IN RE.          DECEASED

WILLIAM LAMPEN.

This is the last will and testament of me, William Lampen of St John's Civil servant.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will.
I appoint my daughter Phoebe Rowe, sole executrix of this my will.
I bequeath to my wife, Phoebe Lampen my dwelling house at number fifteen Livingston Street in St John's together with furniture therein to hold the same during her lifetime and after her death they shall go to the said Phoebe Rowe my adopted daughter, and her children.
I bequeath my money in hand and in bank to my executrix in trust to pay there from all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses including death duties and to pay out such of the balance as may be necessary for the proper support and maintenance of my said wife, upon the death of my said wife the balance after payment of her debts and funeral expenses shall go to my said daughter Phoebe Rowe and her children.
I bequeath to my said wife my shares in the St George's Coal Fields Limited.
I bequeath to my executrix my preferred shares in United Towns Electric Company in trust to pay the income the income there from to my wife during her lifetime. Upon the death of my said wife the said shares shall be divided equally between Edward, Francis and Louise, the children of Phoebe Rowe aforesaid.
I bequeath my preferred shares in Avalon Telephone Company Limited to my executrix in trust to pay the income there from to my wife during her lifetime. Upon the death of my said wife one half for repairs to the said Church, and one half to Queens College ST John's.
