Last Will and Testament of
Thomas J. Kough of St. John's
Queen's Counsel deceased.

      I Thomas J. Kough of St. John's Newfoundland Q.C. do make and publish this my last will and Testament (Holograph) I give devise and bequeath unto my sisters Margaret Kough, Catherine Kough, Anne Kough, and Harriet Kough all my undivided share and interest in and to all lands tenements. Bank stock and moneys on deposit receipts and all other chattels which I have acquired out of and from the estate of my Father the late Honorable Patrick Kough to the absolute use and behoof of my above named sisters with respect to my own property I give devise and bequeath to my sisters Margaret Kough, Catherine Kough and Anne Kough the land purchased by me from the late Sir Hugh W. Hoyles (Executor) situate at Cochran Place Military Road and the house thereon recently erected by me To Have and To Hold the same with their appurtenances unto the said Margaret Kough, Catherine Kough, and Anne Kough for the term of their natural lives and to the survivors or survivor of them. And at the decease of such survivor I will and direct and hereby devise and bequeath the said lands house and tenements at Cochran Place aforesaid unto my brother Patrick Kough To Hold to him in perpetuity. I bequeath my gold watch to my brother Patrick Kough. I bequeath to my sister Catherine Kough all the chattels and other property Bank stock household furniture moneys and generally the residuary estate left by me. I nominate to and appoint my said sister Catherine Kough sole executrix of this my last will and Testament. - Dated at St. John's aforesaid this twenty sixth day of January Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety four.
