Will of John King

Last Will and Testament of
John King of St. John's
Fisherman deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me John King of St. John's in the Central District of the Island of Newfoundland Fisherman.
First I direct that my executrix hereinafter named shall out of my general estate first pay all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses.
Second. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Joseph Connolly wife of William Connolly of St. John's aforesaid Labourer all and singular my landed property situate in the Town of St. John's. Also all other Estate, property, moneys, securities for moneys, goods chattels and effects of every description and wheresoever situate of which I may die possessed or to which my Estate may hereafter become entitled. To hold the same to her, her executors administrators and assigns for ever free from the control of her present or any future husband or husbands.
Third. I appoint my said daughter Mary Joseph Connolly sole executrix of this my last will and Testament.
Witness my hand at St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland this second day of February anno Domini Eighteen hundred and ninety five. (Sgd) John his x mark King Signed Published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who in his presence and the presence of each other and at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been first read over and explained. (Sgd) J. J. Pitman. Solicitor (sgd) A. W. Simms

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of John King deceased
