Will of John King In re The last will & testament of John King, Burnt Islands. I, the undersigned, John King, do hereby devise & bequeath my property in the manner hereinafter mentioned to the persons mentioned. To SOLOMON KING, my son, I do give & bequeath the house and everything that it contains, & further all the land upon which it stands & which belongs to me, upon this condition, that the aforesaid Solomon King do always provide, bed, board & lodging under this roof for my dear wife Patience as long as she shall live. To, my dear wife, Patience, I give & bequeath the whole of my money amounting to about nine hundred dollars, which she is to use during her lifetime, should any remain, at her death it is to be divided among my sons and daughters, To be divided as follows:- The daughters are only to have ½ (one half) the share of each son. The above is the written expression of my wishes & is my last will & testament, all previous wills are by this one made void Witness my hand this twenty third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred & fourteen.
