Will of Mary Power Kenny
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 360-361 probate year 1916

In re
      MARY POWER KENNY       deceased.

      In the name of God Amen    I Mary Power Kenny of St. John’s do make publick and declare this as and for my last will and testament.
      First I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Kate Kenny (now Sister Seraphina) my debenture of the Government of Newfoundland of the Face Value of four hundred dollars
      Second. to my son James J. Kenny I give devise and bequeath the two houses situated on York Street No. 34 & 36.
      Third to my son William F. Kenny I give devise and bequeath the House and Land situated on Henry Street No. 25.
      Fourth. to my son Walter J. Kenny I give devise and bequeath the House and land situated on Georges Street No. 12.
      Fifth. To my daughter Bride Kenney (now Mrs. E. J. Kennedy) I give devise and bequeath the house situated on Cochrane Street No. 24.
      Sixth. To my son James J. Kenny I give devise and bequeath (after the death of Mrs. N. A. Lynch half the house and land situated on Williams Lane No. 13.
      Seventh. I give devise and bequeath my Debenture (after the death of Mrs. N.A. Lynch) of the Government of Newfoundland of the Face Value of One thousand dollars to be divided as follows. To my son James J. Kenny I give devise and bequeath five hundred dollars. To my son Walter J. Kenny I give devise and bequeath one hundred and Forty dollars. To my son William F. Kenny I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars.    To my daughter Kate Kenny (Now Sister Seraphina) I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars. To my daughter Bride Kenny (now Mrs. E.J. Kennedy) I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars.    Sixty dollars for Masses for the repose of my soul and the soul of my husband.
      Eight. I do hereby nominate and appoint my son James J. Kenny and my son-in-law E.J. Kennedy as executors of this my will.     Witness my hand at St. John’s the eleventh November Anno Domini 1903    Mary Power Kenny     Signed by the said testator as and for her last will and testament in our presence who in her presence and the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses on the day and year written. Witnessed by Charles Myler (LS)    Thos. Burfitt (LS)
