Last Will and Testament of
Bridget Kenny of St. John's
widow deceased.

      In the name of God Amen this is the last will and Testament of me Bridget Kenny of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland widow made this nineteenth day of September Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine, first I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried and my worldly property I give and bequeath as follows

First I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Gorman wife of Joseph Gorman a certain tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate in Duke of York Street in the town of St. John's to her own use and benefit and that her husband shall not have any control over the same or any part thereof Said premises at present in the occupancy of Nicholas Vinicomb To have and To hold the same unto her the said Sarah Gorman as aforesaid for and during the unexpired term yet to come in the said premises.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Kenny a certain tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate in Duke of York Street aforesaid now in the possession of the said Thomas Kenny To have and To hold the same for and during the unexpired term yet to come in the same.

Also I give and bequeath to my son James Kenny a certain dwelling house and premises situate in Duke of York Street aforesaid commonly known as the "Old House" to which is attached a coopers shop, which coopers shop I desire shall be for the use of my said sons Thomas and James.

And Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Alice Kenny the tenement and premises with the appurtenances which I now occupy To Have and To Hold the same unto my said daughter Alice for and during the residue of the unexpired term yet to come in said tenement further I give and bequeath to my said daughter Alice Kenny all my beds and bedding and all my household stuff and household furniture and whatever I may possess at the time of my death solely for her own use

And lastly I request that the ground rent of the premises herein bequeathed shall be equally borne and paid by the legatees herein mentioned, hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this to be my last will and testament and I do hereby appoint Frederic Burnham executor of this my last will. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal at St. John's aforesaid the day and year first above written. (Sgd) Bridget her X mark Kenny (LS) Signed Sealed published and declared by Testatrix as and for her last will and Testament in presence of us who at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.       I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Bridget Kenny deceased
