Will of Catherine Keating
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 386-387 probate year 1911

In re
      Catherine Keating          deceased.

      This is the Last will of me Catherine Keating of Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland widow. I appoint Alexander Rodger of Saint John’s aforesaid merchant, (hereinafter called “my trustee”) to be executor and trustee of this my will and the guardian of my infant children. I give the whole of my estate consisting of shares in the Boot and Shoe Company houses lands furniture and effects of every description unto my trustee In Trust to convert the same into money by sale or otherwise and after paying my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts, to invest the proceeds of such sale, with power from time to time to vary the investment thereof And shall until the youngest of my children surviving reaches the age of twenty one years, apply the income of the said trust fund in or for the education maintenance and support of my infant and unmarried children
And I empower my trustee to postpone the sale and conversion of any part of my estate for so long as he shall think fit and the income of unconverted shall from the time of my death go in the same manner as the income of the proceeds thereof would have been applicable if the same had been converted
Upon the youngest of my surviving children reaching the age of twenty one years that part of my estate which may then be unconverted together with the trust fund aforesaid shall be converted into cash and shall be divided equally among my children surviving at the time when the youngest surviving shall have reached the age of twenty-one years. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 28th day of October A.D. 1902.    Catherine Keating    Signed by the said testatrix as her last will in the presence of us, who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses M.
