      JOHN JOY deceased.

      I John Joy in this my last will and testament do hereby will and bequeath my dwelling house and land situated at Irish Town Carbonear to my grandmother Bridget Hamilton during her lifetime and after her death to my cousin Richard Joy son of the late Thomas Joy and bounded as follows on the East by Mrs. Catherine Murphys on the West adjoining Patrick Joy on the North by the Main Road on the South by Nicholes land    John his X mark Joy     Carbonear May 12 1905 Witness Joseph Hogan, Peter Keough
