Last will and testament of
Catherine G. Joy of St. John's
Married woman deceased
.

This is the last will and testament of me Catherine Glareen Joy of St. John's Newfoundland wife of James Glareen Joy of the same place master mariner. I give devise and bequeath to my executor hereinafter named in trust for the sole use and benefit of my daughters Jessie and Isabel Joy and free from the control of any said husband or of any future husband of either of them the said Jessie Joy and Isabel Joy all my interest (being one half) in the house and premises situate in Princes Street St. John's now occupied by     being house No 3 named in the will of my late father John Feehan and also all other monies, property or goods and chattels of which I may die possessed or entitled and for my said executor to apply the annual proceeds of such property and interest of such monies towards the support and maintenance of my said children and on their attaining the age of twenty one years to assign and pay over the same to them in equal shares. I appoint my husband James Glareen Joy executor of this my last will and testament. Dated at St. John's Newfoundland this 26th day of January A.D. 1881. (Sgd) Catherine G. Joy. Signed published and declared by the said testatrix Catherine Glareen Joy as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who in the presence of the said testatrix and of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses on the date above named and signed and subscribed by me the said James Glareen Joy in assent to and approbation of the making and contents of the above written will. (Sgd) Joseph Feehan. (Sgd) Mary Ann Jackman. (Sgd) James G. Joy.

I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament of Catherine G. Joy.
