Mildred Agnes Job.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me MILDRED AGNES JOB of 5 Gledhow Gardens London S.W.5 Spinster I hereby revoke all wills heretofore made by me and appoint the Bank of Liverpool and Martins Limited (hereinafter called the Bank) to be the Executor of this my will And I declare that the bank may act by its proper Officer or officers who may employ and pay a Solicitor Broker Auditor or any other Agent to transact all or any business required to be done (including the receipt and payment of money) And I further declare that the Bank may (without being liable to account for any profit thereby made) retain as bankers on current account or deposit account or advance all moneys necessary or convenient to be retained as aforesaid or advanced in connection with my estate on such terms as the Bank would reasonably make with a customer of the Bank under similar circumstances and the Bank shall also be entitled to remuneration (free from duties and as a first charge on my estate) in accordance with the Bank's scale of Fees being in force at the date of my death or such other scale (if any) as may be arranged by special written agreement between the Bank and me And I further declare that if at the time of my death the business of the Bank shall have been transferred to any other Bank this my will shall be read and construed as if the name of such other bank were substituted for that of the Bank throughout And I further declare that if any time after my death the business of the Bank shall be transferred to any other Bank it shall be lawful for the bank to appoint such other Bank to be Executors of this my will in the place of the Bank and such other Bank may act either alone or jointly with any other person or persons and after such appointment all the powers and provisions herein contained with reference to the Bank shall apply to such other Bank as if the name were herein repeated I devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate unto the Bank Upon trust that the bank shall sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money And with and out of the moneys produced by such sale calling in and conversion and with and out of my ready money pay my funeral testamentary expenses debts and the following legacies namely: (1) To my friend Mary Elizabeth Ballantine the sum of one thousand pounds (2) To my sister Fanny Isabel Taylor the sum of One thousand pounds (3) to my sister Jessie Carson Fernie the sum of one hundred pounds (4) To my cousin Agnes Nightingale the sum of one hundred pounds (5) To my cousin Florence Nightingale the sum of one hundred pounds (6) To my friend Margaret Evelyn Pilkington the sum of one hundred pounds (7) To my friend Florence Begram the sum of two hundred pounds (8) To my grand niece Helen Harvey Burch the sum of one hundred pounds. And I direct and declare that all the above mentioned legacies shall be paid free of legacy or other duty I bequeath to my niece Vera Cresfield RENWICK my diamond and sapphire pendant AND I direct the bank to divide all the rest and residue of my estate amongst all my nephews and nieces in such manner and way that my nephew and godson Maurice Job Taylor shall receive one hundred pounds more than any  other remaining nephews and nieces IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have set my hand to this my will this twenty sixth day of August one thousand nine hundred and twenty six- MILDRED AGNES JOB.

Signed by the said Mildred Agnes Job as her last will and testament in the presence of us both being present of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses- WILLIAM HY OWEN- J. LONGWORTH - Clerks with Edward Lloyd Solicitor Liverpool.

5 GLEDHOW Gardens Kensington S.W. 5 - I MILDRED AGNES JOB of 5 GLEDHOW Gardens London S.W. 5 Spinster declare this to be a Codicil to my will dated 26th August 1926.

  1. I revoke the legacies of £100 bequeathed to my sister Jessie Carson Fernie and to my friend Margaret Evelyn Pilkington respectively and bequeath free of duty to the said Jessie Carson Fernie my grand piano and to the said Margaret Evelyn Pilkington my Talbot motor car and accessories in lieu of the said pecuniary legacies.
  2. I revoke the legacies of £100 £100 and £200 bequeathed by my said will to Agnes Nightingale Florence Nightingale and Florence Pegram respectively and in lieu thereof I bequeath to them respectively the sum of £50 (fifty) £50 (fifty) and £100 (one hundred pounds) free of duty.
  3. I bequeath free of duty the following specific legacies namely (a) To my niece Jessie Freeman my pearl and diamond pendant (b) To my friend Mary Elizabeth Ballantine my seal skin fur coat (c) To my great niece LOUISE REID my diamond cluster ring (d) To my great niece Helen Harvey Burch my diamond ring with five stones.
  4. I bequeath free of duty the following pecuniary legacies namely (a) To my nephew Kenneth Gordon Fernie the sum of one hundred pounds £100 (b) To my niece Jessie Margaret Fernie the sum of £100 (one hundred pounds) (c) To my niece Audrey Kerr Gerber the sum of £100 (one hundred pounds) (d) To my maid Marion Walker if in my service at my death the sum of twenty five pounds
  5. I revoke the bequest contained in my sd will of the rest and residue of my estate to my nephews and nieces and in lieu thereof direct that the Bank as defined in my will shall divide all the rest and residue of my estate that is to say the estate that shall be left after payment of debts funeral and testamentary expenses and legacies and legacy and other death duties between such of them my nieces Helen Carson Burch Gladys Harvey Reid Vera Crosfield Renwick and Jessie Freeman and my nephews Thomas Warren Job Maurice Job Taylor and Alan Job Taylor as shall survive me in equal shares and I devise and bequeath the same accordingly.
  6. I direct that the receipt of the Fathers of the said Helen Harvey Burch and Louise Reid Respectively shall be a good discharge to my executor for the legacies bequeathed to the said legatees by my said will and this codicil
  7. In all other respects I confirm my said will

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have set my hand this eighth day of February one thousand nine hundred and thirty - MILDRED AGNES JOB -- Signed by the said Mildred Agnes Job as a codicil to her last will in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses - E.H.
