Will of William Irwin from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 108-109 probate year 1927

In re
      WILLIAM IRWIN.       DECEASED.

This is the last will of me William Irwin of St. John's Newfoundland farmer and I revoke all former wills by me made. I appoint my daughters Mary and Elizabeth executors of this my will. I give devise and bequeath all property of whatsoever kind I die possessed of to my said daughters in equal shares as tenants in common. It is my wish that they have offered up ten masses for the repose of my soul and also ten masses for the soul of their mother my wife. In witness whereof I have set my hand to this my will this fifteenth day of December A.D. 1914.

Signed by William Irwin as and for his last will in our presence who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed of our names as witnesses.

      This is a codicil to my foregoing will dated the 15th day of December 1914.
(1) If my daughter Mary be living at my death but for any reason is unable to act as an Executor or manage her own affairs then it is my wish that my daughter Elizabeth (now Mrs Marshall) shall act as sole Executrix and trustee under my will and she shall hold the share of my estate belonging to my daughter Mary in trust for her (Mary) to be used for her (Mary's) benefit as my said trustee deems best
(2) If my daughter Mary predecease me then her share intended for her under this will and codicil shall go to my son John F. Irwin and if he be also then dead to go to his children (my grandchildren) in equal shares.
(3) It is my wish that further masses be said for the repose of the souls of my wife and self and also the souls of all my children then deceased and I authorise my Executors and executrix (as the case may be) to expend one hundred dollars for all such masses by the will or codicil referred to.
(4) With the foregoing intentions and additions I confirm my said will. In witness whereof I have set my hand to this codicil to my will this 16th day of November 1922.

Signed by the testator William Irwin as and for a codicil to his last will by making his mark in our presence after the said will and codicil had been read over to him in our presence who in his presence and the presence of each other have signed our names as witnesses.
