Last Will and Testament of
Selina Hutchinson of St. John's
Widow deceased.
This is the last will and Testament of me Selina
N. Hutchinson of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland widow.
First
I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Julia Hutchinson of
St. John's Spinster my desert set on the condition that the same is not to
be sold or go out of the family.
Second I give devise and bequeath to my said
daughter Julia Hutchinson her executors administrators and assigns absolutely
and for ever all my silver jewelry monies stock and effects that I may be possessed
of at the time of my death whether in England Newfoundland or elsewhere, but
subject to the following legacies to be first paid out of the same viz to my
brothers George F. Hayward. Augustus O. Hayward. Henry E. Hayward.
Ellen Hayward (widow of my brother James) Fanny Hayward wife of my nephew George
J. Hayward. Cluearing Hayward. F. Herbert Hayward. All of St. John's their and each of
their executors and administrators the sum of Twenty dollars each and to E.
Arthur Hayward a similar sum.
Third. I give devise and bequeath to
my niece Bertha Adelaide Hayward of St. John's Spinster. Emma
Hutchinson of
Grantsfield Leominster England and Sarah Hutchinson of same
place, spinster the sum of Twenty four dollars each.
Fourth. I give devise
and bequeath to Mrs. Nicholas of St. John's widow the sum of Four dollars and
to Mrs. Slate Legatte of same place widow the sum of two dollars.
Fifth. I give devise and bequeath to my nurse Sarah Way of St. John's the sum
of Twenty dollars and to Fanny and Sarah Gear of St. John's
an ornament as a souvenir to be selected by my executrix hereinafter named.

Sixth. I give devise and bequeath to "the Church of England Cathedral Nave
Restoration fund" The Trustees of the Church of England Orphanage" and "The
Diocesan Synod Fund" of St. John's the sum of Twenty dollars each

Sixth.
I direct my executrix to give to my nieces Ann H. Hayward. Isabel Nellie and
Ethel Hayward a mourning dress each.
Lastly. I appoint my
daughter Julia Hutchinson before mentioned sole executrix
of this my last will and Testament.
In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty ninth day of July A.D.
one thousand eight hundred and ninety six at St. John's aforesaid (sgd) Selina
N. Hutchinson. Signed by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and Testament
in our presence who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each
other have hereto affixed our names as witnesses on the day and year and place
within written. (Sgd) Geo. R. Williams. (Sgd) Frederick
C. Grant.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct
copy of the last will and Testament of Selina N. Hutchinson deceased
