Will of William Hussey
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 pages 166-167 probate year 1902

The last will of William Hussey late of
St. John's, Wharfinger, deceased

      This is the last will and testament of me William Hussey of Saint John's Wharfinger. I give and divise unto my son Nathaniel Hussey all land and property belonging to me situate at or near Broad Cove. I give and bequeath unto my wife all my household furniture and effects. I also direct that my executor shall pay unto my wife the sum of Eighty dollars per annum for her support and maintenance. To my daughter Isabelle Paton I give 4 pictures to be selected by her from those in my dwelling house. Upon the death of my wife I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects amongst my three children Joshua Hussey, Nathaniel Hussey, and Isabelle Paton equally between them.
And I appoint Thomas H. Paton of Saint John's aforesaid Grocer as Executor of this my will. Witness my hand at Saint John's Newfoundland this nineteenth day of May A.D.1896. William Hussey -
Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other hereunto subscribe ourselves as witnesses. William H. Horwood James W C Reham

This is a Codicil to the last will and testament of me William Hussey of St. John's Wharfinger. I hereby revoke the appointment of Thomas A. Paton as Executor of my will and do hereby appoint my son Joshua Hussey as Executor of my will in place of the said Thomas A. Paton. In all other respects I confirm the last will and testament made by me on the nineteenth day of May A.D. 1896 Witness my hand at St. John's aforesaid this twentieth day of April A.D. one thousand nine hundred and one - William Hussey.
Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for a Codicil to his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other hereunto subscribe ourselves as witnesses. - William H. Horwood George Hall
