Will of Catherine Hurley from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 503 probate year 1929 In re DECEASED. This is the last will and testament of me, Catherine Hurley of Queens Road St. John's Newfoundland, and I revoke all former wills by me made. I appoint ex-inspector Robert Sparrow of Queens Rd. aforesaid and T Scanlon McGrath of St. John's aforesaid, solicitor executors and trustees of this my last will. I direct my executors to pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses. I give and bequeath to said Robert sparrow forever the house and land on Queens Road aforesaid in which he now lives No 6.. I give and bequeath to Archbishop Roche for the use of the Roman Catholic Church the house and land on Queens Road in which I now live No 8., which includes the house now occupied by Mrs. Hibbs as my tenant. The residue of my estate has to be realized and the proceeds used for Masses for my brothers William, John, my mother Anne and myself. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand to my last will by making my mark at St. John's aforesaid this 16 April 1929.
Signed by the testatrix by making her mark the foregoing being first read over
and explained to her who said she understood the same perfectly in our presence
who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
