Will of Susannah Holloway
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 pages 126-127 probate year 1902

Last Will and Testament of
Susannah Holloway of St. John's
Widow deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Susan Holloway of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland widow.
First. I hereby revoke and annul all former wills and Testaments by me made.
Second. I will and direct that my executors hereinafter named shall first pay out of my general estate all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses.
Third. I give and bequeath all and singular my worldly goods estate and effects consisting of dwelling house in the Town of Saint Johns a piece or parcel of land at Bauline Head on the southern shore, household furniture and effects and certain moneys now deposited in the Newfoundland Savings Bank also all other property estate or moneys or other chattels to which I am now or at any time hereafter may be entitled to my nephew James Joseph Malone now residing at Baltimore in the United States of America and in the event of the said James Joseph Malone predeceasing me I will and direct that the children then him surviving shall take my said estate equally.
Fourth. To my nephew Patrick Malone of Saint John's Newfoundland I give and bequeath the sum of one shilling sterling.
Fifth. I give and bequeath to my said executors the sum of two dollars for masses for the repose of my soul.
Sixth. I hereby appoint James Roil of Saint John's Michael Dalton of the same place Labourer and Emma Lay of the same place widow Executors of this my last will and Testament.
Witness my hand and seal at Saint John's Newfoundland this seventh day of March A.D. eighteen hundred and ninety one. (Sgd) Susannah her x mark Holloway. Signed published and declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been read and explained to the said Testatrix before signing (sgd) J. Roil. (Sgd) John Goss. (Sgd) Emma Lay. (Sgd) Denis J. Conway.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Susannah Holloway deceased
