Will of Margaret Holden
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 394 probate year 1916

In re
      MARGARET HOLDEN       deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me, Margaret Holden, of Holyrood, in the Electoral District of Harbour Main, Widow, hereby revoking all former wills and testamentary dispositions made by me.    After the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses, I give, devise and bequeath as follows:-
      1. To my grandsons Lucas and James Holden, sons of my son William Holden deceased, the land at Harbour Main, and that property known as “Holden’s Farm” situate between Harbour Main and Avondale.
      2. To my executor hereinafter named the land at Salmonier formerly owned by my son Thomas Holden, the same to be sold by him and the proceeds thereof to be applied in the celebration of Masses for the repose of his soul.
      3. To my executor hereinafter named the residue of my estate of every nature and kind to by applied by him according to special instructions which I have given him.    I appoint the Right Reverend Monsignor William Veitch of Conception Harbour, executor of this my will.    Margaret Holden.     Signed by the said testatrix as and for her last will and testament in our presence who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, this 5th day of July A.D. 1911- George Veitch Aaron Lewis
