Will of George Hiscock Senior from Newfoundland will books volume 7 pages 181-182 probate year 1902

The last Will of George Hiscock
late of Lance Cove, Bell Island
Farmer, deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me George Hiscock Senior of Lance Cove, Bell Island District of St. John's East. I hereby revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made. I appoint James Alfred Hiscock of Lance Cove, Schoolmaster and William Clemens Senr of Lance Cove, Farmer to be my executors and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses and testamentary expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease (I give devise and bequeath unto George Hiscock Junr my son all the land already marked out to him to the south and eastward of the stable inside the boundary for his lifetime after which it is to revert to his son George. I give devise and bequeath unto James Hiscock my son the north part as already held by him inside the boundary. I give devise and bequeath to my sons George Junr and James Hiscock equal rights to the use of my fishing room and after the death of the said George Hiscock Jun. his right to revert to his son George. In regard to the part of my property on the "head" cleared by the said James Hiscock that is to be his exclusive property.) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Louisa Hiscock all the remainder of my property personal and otherwise including my half of the piece of granted land on Martins line and all my stock & private goods and outhouses with the exception of one feather bed which I bequeath George's son George and my own feather bed to George Washington Hiscock. In witness whereof, I the said George Hiscock Senior of Lance Cove have to this my last will and testament set my name this first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred. George Hiscock. Signed by the testator George Hiscock Senior and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses. William Bennett witness. Edward Skeans witness.

      I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of the last will of George Hiscock
