The last will of William Hickey
late of Holyrood, Conception Bay, Fisherman.
I William Hickey of Holyrood, Conception Bay
Nfld. Being of sound mind and memory Do make my last will and testament this
day of our Lord 24 Jan. 1899
First I give and bequeath to my wife
Ellen all the land that I possess my dwelling house stable all outhouses while
the wife Ellen Hickey remain in my name
Second my three sons Michl
William and Bernard shall have equal share of my lands after my wife's death.
Third
when any of our sons wish to Build or make improvement when of age my said
wife shall select a plot for the said one. I also give and bequeath to my wife
my horse and cow and all the cattle I own She is leave my Dwelling house and
Horses to one of the above sons the one she believe to be the most entitled
to it. I hereby set my Hand seal in presence of the witness this day of our
Lord 24th Jan. 1899. William his x mark Hickey (LS) Witness. Michl

I certify the foregoing to be a correct
