probate year 1907
In re
James Healey deceased. This is the last will and testament
of me James Healey at present of Blackhead in the Island of Newfoundland
fisherman. I appoint Sir Edward P. Morris of St. John’s
Barrister-at-Law my Executor.
I give devise and bequeath to my daughter
Ellen the old house at Blackhead in which I now reside
and also the old stable.
I
give devise and bequeath to my daughter Celia the house adjoining the house
in which I now reside also the small stable adjoining the same. I give
devise and bequeath to my daughter Celia the farm known as Paddy
Healey’s
and also the farm known as Moores farm.
I give devise and bequeath
to my daughter Ellen the land known as Crotty’s farm also the small
meadow situate on the main road. It is my wish that my Executor should
divide equally between my said two daughters the farm known as James
Healey’s.
I
desire that my Executor shall after my death realize all my boats and fishing
gear of every description by sale public auction or private and divide
the proceeds equally between my two daughters.
I give devise
and bequeath to my brother Joseph Healey my stage and
flake situate at Blackhead and the land upon which the same is erected.
I give devise and bequeath to my two daughters aforesaid all the furniture
and farming utensils of which I shall die possessed. In testimony whereof
I hereunto subscribe my name at St. John’s the ninth day of July
A.D. 1906. James Healey. signed by the
said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of
us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other
have signed our names as witnesses R.T. McGrath E.P. Morris
