Will of Sarah Ellen Hayward In re This is the last will and testament of me Sarah Ellen Hayward of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland-Widow- I give devise and bequeath to my beloved adopted daughter Bertha Adelaide Hayward all my property furniture monies and effects of every description and kind whatsoever that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease the same to be hers absolutely and forever- to will and dispose of as she likes- And I hereby appoint the said Bertha Adelaide Hayward sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this seventeenth day of December A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine. Sarah Ellen Hayward. Signed by the said testatrix in our presence who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses on the day and year and place above written.
