Last Will and Testament of
Charles Haynes of Catalina
Fisherman deceased.
This is the last will and Testament of the
undersigned Charles Haynes Sr. Fisherman of Catalina Trinity Bay Newfoundland.
I Charles Haynes Sr. being of sound mind but in infirm health do hereby will
devise & bequeath as follows:- To my Grandson Mark Haynes that piece of
land know as the small garden or meadow situate between the property of Charles
Haynes Jr. and James Haynes - Also my Bed and bed clothes. - To
my daughter Susan Edgecombe all the furniture that now remain in my dwelling
house. - To my son William Haynes all the other land not hereinbefore
mentioned together with all the erections thereon that I may die possessed
of. I also strictly say that none of the land that I die possessed os shall
ever go out of the name of Haynes. - And I do hereby constitute and
appoint my son Wm Haynes as the executor of this my last will and Testament
and revoking all or any former distribution of my property and do declare this
to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal at Catalina aforesaid this eighteenth day March one thousand
eight hundred and ninety three. (Sgd) Charles his x mark Haynes (LS) Acknowledged
by the Testator to be his last will & Testament and signed by him in our
presence and by the witnesses in the presence of the Testator and each other
(sgd) Isaac J. Mifflen J.P. (Sgd) Thomas Martin.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct
copy of the last will and Testament of Charles Haynes deceased
