Will of John Hackett Last Will and Testament of This is the last will and Testament of me John Hackett of St. John's Master Mariner. I give devise and bequeath all the property of every description which I may die possessed of to my wife Ellen Hackett to hold and enjoy the same during her life time. After the decease of my said wife the house and shop in which I now reside is to become the property of my son John. The house adjoining on Cathedral Hill and at present occupied by Mr. Frew is to become the property of my daughter Margaret wife of John St. John. The house on Military Road occupied by my daughter Mrs St. John is to become the property of my son William. The house on Military Road occupied by Mr. Jones is to become the property of my daughter Mary wife of Edward O'Reilly and the house on Military Road occupied by Mrs. Bathgate is to become the property of my daughter Lizzie wife of George McKay. After the decease of my said wife all other property which I possess to be equally divided between my said children. I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife and my son-in-law John J. St. John executors of this my will Dated at St. John's this day of January A.D. 1886. (Sgd) John Hackett.
