Last Will and Testament of
Amelia Greenway of Plymouth Devon England
Married woman, deceased.

      The last will and Testament of Amelia Greenway (formerly Brophy) of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland wife of Elias Greenway of same place Carpenter - whereas by Indenture bearing date the fourteenth day of October Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and fifty four - whereto were parties myself the said Elias Greenway and the Venerable Thomas T. H. Bridge Trustee therein named certain landed properties were prior to my marriage with the said Elias Greenway settled upon myself with certain powers of appointment during my lifetime and with power of disposal by will at my death. Now I do by this my last will and Testament and by virtue of the powers so to me reserved in the said Indenture devise and bequeath and appoint that all the rents issues and profits of the said landed properties and of all and singular any the rights and properties of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever of which I have the right to dispose of the said power or otherwise shall be held unto and to and for the use of the said Elias Greenway during the term of his natural life should he be living at the time of my death and if he should not be so living or after his death whenever the same may happen then that all and singular the premises aforesaid and rents issues and profits thereof shall become the property of and are hereby bequeathed to my stepson John W. Greenway to have and to hold to him his executors administrators and assigns for ever. I appoint George T. Rendell of St. John's merchant the executor of this my will. In witness whereof I have to these presents subscribed my name at St. John's aforesaid the eighteenth day of January Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy. (Sgd) Amelia Greenway. Executed by the said Testatrix in presence of us who in presence of each other and of the said Testatrix have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto the day and year and at the place aforesaid (sgd) R. J. Pinsent. (Sgd) D. Jos. Greene

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Amelia Greenway deceased
