Thomas Granter deceased.
I Thomas Granter of Greenspond
Bonavista Bay Newfoundland being of sound mind & memory do make & publish
this as my last will & testament hereby revoking all other & former
wills & testaments heretofore or at any time by me made I hereby appoint
Samuel Blandford and Nathaniel Saunders:
to be executors of my will
I hereby bequeath & devise to my son William all my land & property
now in my possession including flake two stores, stage & dwelling house: & nets & all
other appurtenances
I hereby bequeath & devise to my son
Joseph my land & house now in the possession of the aforesaid Joseph & situate
on the western side of what is commonly called the brook.
I hereby
give devise & bequeath to my son William two thirds of whatever money
I shall be possessed after all my personal debts & expenses be paid & on
conditions hereinafter stated
I hereby give devise & bequeath
to my son Joseph the remaining one third of whatever money I possess after
all my just debts & expenses are paid
I hereby stipulate
as the aforementioned condition to my son William, that the sum of fifty
dollars be given out of the two third part being Williams share; to my
grand child Muriel: and on this condition being fulfilled do I give to
William the aforesaid two thirds parts I
hereby devise & bequeath to my grandchild Muriel my bed & bedding.
I hereby give devise & bequeath all my clothing & apparel to be
equally divided between my sons William & Joseph
I hereby
direct my said executors to pay all my just debts & funeral expenses
as soon as possible after my decease In witness whereof I have hereto set
my hand March 10th 1902 Thomas his X
mark Granter witness of above signature S. A. Dawson Signed sealed & delivered
by said Thomas Granter as & for his last will & testament in the
presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence & in
the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names March 10th 1902. Samuel
