Last will and Testament
of William Thos. Gould
of Carbonear Deceased
.

This is the last will and testament of me William Thomas Gould, of Carbonear in the island of Newfoundland merchant. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses. I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Emma Patience Gould all my lands houses and shops; all interest in my life insurance policies and all bank deposits or other moneys of which I may die possessed together with all other property whatsoever which may be mine or to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease. Should my wife, the said Emma Patience Gould marry again then I will devise and bequeath all my estate situated on the north side of Carbonear and bounded on the north by the estate of Horatio Howell on the east by Bemisters Hill on the south by Crowdy Street and Cullins Estate and on the west by the land of Thomas Cullen and Michael Finn together with all erections therefore to my beloved son Benjamin William Gould; I will and bequeath all the rest of my property, in the event of my wife's remarriage to all my children including the above mentioned Benjamin William Gould to be equally divided between them. And I appoint ??? Rorke of Carbonear Merchant and John Alexander Robinson of Carbonear schoolmaster, executors to this my last will and testament and I request them to make such arrangements for winding up the business now carried on by me, as they shall deem advisable. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one W. T. Gould Signed by the said William Thomas Gould in our presence who in his presence and in the presence of each other at the same time subscribe our names as witnesses R. Simpson J. H. Penny.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament of William Thos. Gould.
