Last will and Testament
of Benjamin F. Gould.
of Carbonear Merchant Deceased
.

This is the last will and testament of me Benjamin F. H. Gould of Carbonear in the island of Newfoundland Merchant. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses. I will, devise and bequeath, to my wife Jemima Emily Gould for her use and benefit while she remains a widow. My shop stores and waterside premises situate on the south side of the Main Street of Carbonear aforesaid, but in the event of my said wife Jemima Emily Gould marrying again she is to have no right title or interest in or to any part or parcel of the above devised property and premises. To my daughter Cecily Helen Gould I will, devise and bequeath my life policies and all interests devisable therefrom in the Union Mutual Insurance Company of Canada and also in the Metropolitan Assurance Company. To my son William Thomas Gould I will devise and bequeath my dwelling house in which I now reside with all outhouses stables gardens and land thereunto belonging with the appurtenances. Also all my other land lands and landed property not hereinbefore mentioned or devised together with all my vessels stock in trade book debts and all and singular any other property and effects to me belonging not hereinbefore mentioned devised or bequeathed. I appoint John F. Apsey of Harbor Grace in the said Island accountant and Edward S. Pike of Carbonear aforesaid Sailmaker executors of this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke annul and make void forever all other wills codicils or writings testamentary ever made by me and do hereby solemnly declare this as my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and seal subscribed and set at Carbonear aforesaid this twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy five. B. F. Gould as and for his last will and testament in the presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses F. F. Bemister Israel L. McNeil notary Public.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Benjamin F. H. Gould.
