Will of Jane Hyde Goodridge
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 324 probate year 1915

In re
      JANE HYDE GOODRIDGE       deceased.

      I Jane Hyde Goodridge of St. John’s, Newfoundland, wife of Augustus Frederick Goodridge, Merchant of that city, being of sound mind, and in good health, do make this my last and only will and testament.    I give devise and bequeath all my personal effect, jewellrey, Wearing apparel etc to my daughters Mary (Minnie) and Grace Hyde Goodridge to be divided in equal proportions.    I give devise and bequeath one thousand dollars to be eldest grand child Geoffrey McNeil Goodridge- One thousand dollars to Joan May Hyde Goodridge. Five hundred dollars each to Anthony and Elizabeth Goodridge to be held in trust for them until they obtain their majority.    I give devise and bequeath all my Property after above named legacies have been paid, to my beloved husband Augustus Frederick Goodridge, to have and to hold the same during his life time, and to revert in following manner after his death. viz:- One fourth to my eldest daughter Mary (Minnie) Goodridge.    One fourth to my youngest daughter Grace Hyde Goodridge half of which shall be invested in the name of Two Trustees for her sole use and benefit.    One of whom shall be named by herself and the other by my executors.    One eighth each to my four sons, Herbert Hunt, Richard Frederick, Alfred James and William Prout.     The eight thousand dollars which I have loaned to my sons Richard and Frederick is to be deducted from their shares.    I appoint my beloved husband Augustus Frederick Goodridge, and my beloved sons Richard Frederick and Alfred James executors of this my last Will.     Jane Hyde Goodridge    Signed and declared at St. John’s, Newfoundland, in the presence of the two Witnesses who in her presence and in the presence of each other, have affixed their names herein on this 18th day of March 1912.    Geo.
