Will of Hugh William Godden from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 40 probate year 1929 In re DECEASED. THIS is the last will and testament of me, HUGH WILLIAM GODDEN of St. John's in the Dominion of Newfoundland, City Appraiser. I hereby revoke all former wills and testaments made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament. I appoint my sons Thomas Godden and Clarence Godden executors of this my last will. I bequeath my piano to my daughter Emma Forward Godden. I devise and bequeath to my wife Emma Godden my dwelling house at No 27 Cook Street, ST. John's, and all remaining property, furniture, goods, effects and moneys whatsoever and wheresoever situate of which I may die possessed to have the same for her sole use and benefit during her lifetime, provided she remains a widow. Upon the death or remarriage of my said wife, if my said daughter Emma Forward Godden shall be then unmarried, the said property, furniture, goods, effects and moneys of my estate shall go to my said daughter Emma Forward Godden for her sole use and benefit during her lifetime or until such time as she may be married. Upon the death or remarriage of my said wife and the death or marriage of my daughter Emma Forward Godden all my property, furniture, goods, and effects shall be sold and converted into cash and the proceeds thereof shall be divided equally among such of my sons and daughters only as shall be living at that time.
