Will of James Gleeson from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 553 probate year 1891 Last will and Testament In the name of God Amen. I James Gleeson of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland Hardware Merchant do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament. First. I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid. Second as I have already provided sufficiently well for my other children I give devise and bequeath to my dear wife Catherine and to my daughter Ellen Mary all the rest residue and remainder of my estate goods chattels property credits and effects of what nature or kind soever the same may be and wheresoever situate to have receive and take the same share and share alike. And thirdly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Catherine and my said daughter Ellen Mary as executrixes of this my will and lastly I do hereby revoke annul and declare void all former and other wills by me heretofore made. Dated at St. John's this 26th day of June A.D. 1886 James Gleeson. Signed by the said James Gleeson as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereto set our names as witnesses on the day and year above written Robt J. Kent Denis J. Scott.
