Will of Caroline A. Gillmore
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 544-546 probate year 1912

In re
      Caroline A. Gillmore deceased.

      I Caroline A Gillmore of Pembroke in the County of Plymouth and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament
First: I appoint my nephew Charles M. Dogherty of Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of my eldest sister, to be the executor of this will, and direct that he be exempt from sureties upon his bond.
Second - I direct that my body shall be interred in my burial lot in Woodlawn Cemetery, Chelsea in the same grave with my niece Mrs Jane Martin, and that a suitable monument to our memory shall be erected at a cost of not less than three hundred dollars ($300.00) I desire that a re-arrangement of the present interments in said lot shall be made, so that the bodies of my brother-in-law Judah A. Bacon and his wife and child may be placed in the same grave, and so that I may be interred in the same grave with Mrs. Martin as aforesaid and I direct my executor to expend such sum as may be necessary for this purpose, and also a further sum not to exceed three hundred ($300.00) for the erection of a tomb-stone to the memory of my said brother-in-law and his family.
Third - All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, after the payments aforesaid and the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I give, devise and bequeath to the said Charles M. Dogherty. In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this    day of    A.D. 1907. - Caroline A. Gillmore - (Seal)    Signed published and declared by Caroline A. Gillmore as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other, hereto subscribe our names as witnesses. Calvin S. I, Caroline A. Gillmore, declare this to be a codicil to my last will which was executed in March 1907, whereas the provisions of article Second of said will have become in part impossible of fulfillment, I hereby revoke said article, and in lieu thereof I direct that I be buried in the Cemetery at Centre Hanover, and that a suitable monument be erected to my memory at a cost not less than $200. I direct that my executor shall erect a monument to the memory of my brother-in-law Judah A. Bacon, and his wife and child in Woodlawn Cemetery, Chelsea at a cost not to exceed $300. I confirm my will in all other respects. In witness whereof I have caused my name to be here set and have made my mark this eleventh day of March 1912 - Caroline A x her mark Gillmore - On this 11th day of March, Caroline A Gillmore in our presence caused her name to hereto affixed and personally made her mark declaring this to be a codicil to her last will and we, at her request, in her presence & in the presence of each other thereupon subscribed our names as witnesses.    Harriet I.
